9PM Friday in Upstairs Theater B!
Featuring the 25th Anniversary Screening of THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD at ‘Ground Zero’!
Join 80’s Scream Queen Linnea Quigley and James Karen along with the original Production Designer and ‘Fest favorite William Stout for a true “blast” from our past!
It’s truly hard to believe it’s been 25 years since WonderFest’s hometown of Louisville was wiped out by both a zombie apocalypse AND a tactical nuclear strike-- and harder still to believe practically none of the locals remember it! At least the living, don’t. The living dead are another crowd entirely and they’re back and ready to party with us in celebration of the coolest (but not, surprisingly, only) horror film ever set in our fair city: 1985’s cult hit The Return of the Living Dead!
Late writer/director Dan O’Bannon’s hilarious semi-sequel to the original Night of the Living Dead raised the bar for zombie epics—and introduced the undead mantra “Braaaaaiiiinssss….” to popular culture—and still packs a double punch of chills and laughs a quarter-century later.
Midnight Friday in Upstairs Theater B!
Special Screening of RED VELVET!
Join Co-producer & screenwriter / Monsterkid Supreme Joe Moe for Red Velvet, a decidedly different slice of stylish horror from director Bruce Dickson...
A chance encounter at a Hollywood laundromat between a mysterious young writer (Henry Thomas of ET) man and a beautiful young woman (Kelly Garner, Buffy the Vampire Slayer & The Aviator) turns into an impromptu afternoon lunch date. As they get to know each other, bizarre stories begin to unfold-- some fact, some fiction-- about each other's pasts, eventually leading to a tale, bizarre and hilarious at equal turns, about a birthday party whose guests began to be systematically killed off by a maniac in a white jump suit. The girl becomes more and more intrigued with the tale as the mayhem mounts. Is this the beginning of a beautiful relationship or a building block for a day ending in madness and relentless terror?
Saturday at 8PM in Upstairs Theater B!
It's the World Premiere of

Award-winning Monsterkids, super-documentarians and co-producer/directors Cortlandt Hull and Dennis Vincent present a WonderFest exclusive that will stir the collective heart of every hobbyist: A look at the history, personalities and influence of the legendary classic monster models from Aurora!
There’s probably not a soul in attendance who didn’t built his or her first Frankenstein, Wolf Man or Creature from one of Aurora’s gorgeous James Bama-painted boxes and now that wonder can be experienced again.
In the movie, the King of Horror Hosts, Zacherley himself (!) hosts this tribute to styrene madness with special guests James Bama, actor & model sculptor Jeff Yagher, Sideshow Collectibles’ Tom Gilliland and Mat Falls, Frank Winspur of "Moebius Models," Bob Burns, original Aurora sculptor Ray Meyer and many many more.
Don’t miss this movie, it actually Glows in the Dark!!!
Later, at 10PM in Upstairs Theater B!
Exclusive WonderFest Premiere!

The Devil at Lost Creek, 2010, 27 minutes, starring Cara Barresi, Carlos Valenzuela, Carson Hackney, Sydney Hackney, directed by Raymond Castile.
Watch the trailer!
If you hit a stick against a tree three times in the woods, Bigfoot will appear… Two children put the legend to the test, summoning a brutal demon! Pity the souls who meet The Devil at Lost Creek.
Fun, dramatic and scary, The Devil at Lost Creek is a throwback to the glory days of Sasquatch cinema and the second short horror film from Raymond Castile, director of The Blind Date of Coffin Joe and actor in The Embodiment of Evil.
Lost Creek will receive its world premiere at WonderFest 2010, following in the footsteps of Blind Date, which had its premiere screening at WonderFest 2008. Blind Date went on to screen at several festivals in the United States and Brazil, receive a Rondo Award honorable mention, and win the 2009 Tabloid Witch Award for Best Horror Comedy Short and Best Actor.
Still later, at 11PM, there's...

Rondo and Emmy-winning horror hosts Doctor Gangrene and
Nurse Moan-eek return on Saturday Night at 11PM with:
IT CONQUERED THE WORLD!
WonderFest is thrilled and chilled to welcome back the good Doctor and his lovely sidekick after two lonely years without ‘em!
2010’s episode will find them in a titanic struggle for control of earth with two tough-guy scientists (Lee Van Cleef & Robert Graves) an even tougher brassy blonde (Beverly Garland) and a huge cucumber from Venus in It Conquered the World!
The bare-bones genius of producer/director Roger Corman and monstermaker Paul Baisdell has never been …er… displayed so well as in this 1956 AIP slice of cheese.
GASP! with the mad-labsters and their secret mystery guests at preposterous dialogue delivered with straight faces!!
SHUDDER! at the “comic relief” provided by Corman regulars Dick Miller and Jonathan Haze!!
CHOKE! with laughter as the alien menace finally reveals its true form!!!
This event is FREE for all paid WonderFest attendees.
