ELIZABETH SHEPHERD

Actress; Tomb of Ligeia, Damien: Omen 2, The Corridor People

Elizabeth Shepherd is delighted to be getting out to conventions again to meet and share time with the fans—and we’re SO happy she is joining us at WonderFest!

Elizabeth started her career in England, where she had the pleasure of playing Ligeia and The Lady Rowena in the Roger Corman movie The Tomb of Ligeia with Vincent Price in 1964. She left West End Theatre in London for Conduct Unbecoming on Broadway in New York, and has since continued her distinguished career between the US, the UK, and Canada.

Her first film was directed by Michael Powell, The Queen’s Guards. For her first film in Hollywood she played Joan Hart in Damien: Omen 2. She made history by being the first Emma Peel in The Avengers (!), then added to her Gothic repertoire by playing Syrie Van Epp in the outrageous series: The Corridor People.

She has appeared in many regional theatre productions in all three countries (including The Gin Game in Louisville in 2005) and made countless appearances in TV dramas and series.

When she is not acting, Elizabeth teaches Shakespeare to acting students at the Stella Adler Studio in New York.
