Designer, author, and speaker: Vincent Price: A Daughter’s Biography, The Way of Being Lost
“Darkness falls across the land. The midnight hour is close at hand…”- THRILLER
Victoria Price is an internationally recognized author, interior designer, and inspirational speaker…who just happens to be the daughter of actor Vincent Price! Her father is known as the “king of horror” for his performances in horror films. He starred in a number of Roger Corman’s films including HOUSE OF USHER, THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM, TALES OF TERROR, THE RAVEN, THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH, and EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. And many more! Oh, and one little Michael Jackson video called THRILLER!
Victoria was born in Santa Monica and holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and theater from Williams College. She’s known for her work as an inspirational speaker on creativity, art, and design, and for writing the critically acclaimed, Vincent Price: A Daughter’s Biography.
In her memoir The Way of Being Lost, she discusses her journey toward self-discovery, which included an “intentionally homeless” lifestyle. Victoria has appeared on Good Morning America, A&E’s Biography, and NPR’s “Fresh Air,” and “Morning Edition.” Her work has been featured in USA Today, People, Travel & Leisure, Art & Auction, and the New York Times.
Although Victoria’s the daughter of a horror icon, she is not a fan of horror films herself, but is a fan of horror film fans. She works to preserve her father’s legacy, focusing on his life as an art collector and connoisseur, rather than just his “king of horror” persona.
