Badger Air-brush Company, Amazing Figure Modeler Magazine and Black Heart Models are teaming up for another Figure Artists Airbrushing Asylum at the 25th Anniversary of WonderFest.
This is the fourth WonderFest/Badger/Black Heart model finishing class collaboration and, this year, AFM has joined us to make the event even more special.
The class will be on Friday May 30th from 10am to 4pm. We will again feature Badger Air-brush Co. products (Badger’s Krome airbrush and low noise compressor); Badger’s Minitaire paint; other model finishing supplies; and a choice of either Black Heart’s new 360° Series 1:1 scale Boris Karloff Mummy bust from Alvarez Wax Productions or Black Heart’s 1:1 scale Wolf Man wall-hanger sculpted by Jeff Yagher.
Participants will get a 20% discount on purchases of Black Heart products at WonderFest 2014.
Garage kit artists Jeff Camp and Gordon Oberman will headline the class, as they did last year, with five hours of model-finishing instruction. They will be assisted by Mike “The Modeler” Reagan, Ken Schlotfeldt (owner of Badger Air-brush Co.) , and George Stephenson (owner of Black Heart). Participants will have the option of getting a grey-scale tutorial from Jeff Camp or a tutorial from Gordon Oberman on adding color to an otherwise monochromatic paint scheme.
For all of that good stuff (airbrush, compressor, paint, 1:1 scale bust; supplies, 5 hours of instruction and discounts on great products with a total retail value of more than $600), your cost is a measly old $375. If you provide your own low-noise compressor, the cost is $335.
Payment by CC, PayPal or check is accepted. The class will be limited to only 20 participants and is suitable for modelers (and non-modelers) of all levels of experience and talent. All participants will have a finished Mummy bust by the end of the class. Your finished bust will be suitable for entry in WonderFest’s Model Contest, the largest such contest in the U.S.
Secure your spot soon. Early inquiries suggest the class will be full.
